Year 10 What's On The Menu were lucky enough to be part of an industry visit by ex Vincentia High School student and Masterchef contestant Sarah Knight. Sarah left in 2001 and began her journey working at Narooma Bowling Club, attending Bomaderry Tafe and furthering her journey to Sydney restaurants and further afield to being a private chef on cruise ships that have taken her to Italy, France and the Carribean. Sarah and her assistant Scott worked with our Year 10 students producing a Croquembouche; a French dessert which is made by stacking choux pastry puffs or profiteroles in a conical shape bound together with toffee or caramel. Students prepared the choux pastry and Sarah demonstrated the Crème Patissiere and toffee swirling whilst Scott constructed the Croquembouche.
Vincentia High School would like thank both Sarah and Scott for imparting their expertise onto our students and you have truly inspired the students to follow their passion in life.
