At the P&C Meeting held on Monday 12 November, members approved $66,666 worth of financial requests from within the school to support the learning for all students at Vincentia High School! It was decided at the August meeting to ask staff to submit requests for financial support.
The twenty five parents, staff and P&C members in attendance discussed each request in detail and approved the following programs and upgrades:
· Library upgrade – new shelving and lounge chairs reupholstered
· Triathlon Team – uniforms, bikes, goggles and accommodation support
· Gumbari – supplies and equipment for gardening projects within the school
· Science – concrete slab for the Agriculture farm
· Support Unit – water safety and swimming lessons for students
· Sport – 18 new helmets for mountain biking
· Dance – costumes
· New recycling bins to reduce the cost of school waste and encourage our war on waste program
We would like to thank all of our incredible P&C members for their continued support of the staff and students at Vincentia High School. Of course these donations would not be possible without our wonderful canteen ladies, who are always working hard to provide a healthy and delicious menu at the lowest prices and still make a huge profit for the P&C to donate back to the school.
