The future direction for Vincentia High School

On Friday 17 May and Saturday 18 May 2019, our Executive team attended a conference and workshop to collaborate and discuss the school plan and the future direction for Vincentia High School.

The school plan has 3 strategic directions:

* To create engaged and productive learners
* To create innovative and empowered teachers
* To create a connected and collaborative community

The 2 day program included workshops on products, practices, processes and how we can achieve these strategic directions. The leadership team formed 3 groups to break off into workshops and develop the purpose and process for each direction.

We would like to thank the following guest speakers for their insightful, informative and inspirational presentations; David Faulkner our keynote speaker, CEO of Education Change Makers, a global training organisation focused on helping teachers and school leaders innovate practical solutions to improve learning. Lance Bowman for his presentation on mindfulness and meditation. Renee Gilbert, Learning Teaching and Leading Coordinator-Strategic Directions for her informative session about our vision, values and how we can measure our impact on student and teacher learning. Stephen Heslop, Director, Educational Leadership covered processes, milestones, evaluating performance measures and resourcing for the school plan. Thank you to our Business Manager, Michelle for organising such a professional and positive event.

The future direction for Vincentia High School will include meaningful input from the entire staff body, students, P&C, parents/carers and community. The School Plan is currently a work in progress and will be discussed at the P&C Meeting on Monday 27 May, 6pm in the front office meeting room. All welcome.
