29 April 2020 Information for the first 2 weeks of Term 2
Yesterday students in Year 7 - 10 were sent an email to their DoE account with documents supporting their learning from home for Weeks 1 and 2 of this term. To keep you updated and support parents and carers with supporting their children at home, the following information was sent to them.
The photos attached include a new structure for the student's day - taking into account the need for them to break often, step away from their devices and the advice around learning from home including reduced time and timetabled wellbeing and physical activities. It also includes the learning from home timetable for each year group (note that it is not the same as their normal school timetable) and student expectations for learning which will help us monitor their attendance and engagement.
Each student will have been enrolled in new classrooms for each of their subjects and you will notice a very clear structure in each of the lessons including the purpose of the lesson, lesson instructions and supporting information in the one place. Teachers will be online in the classroom during the periods allotted to each subject to support students with questions they have at the time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school and speak to one of your child's Deputy Principals, Year Advisors or teachers.
We would like to thank our families for their support in keeping our school community safe and learning in these unprecedented times.
Yr 11 7 12 timetable
Year 11 and 12 students were sent the following email and documentation to their DoE email regarding their Learning from Home for Weeks 1 and 2 of this term.
We hope you are all enjoying the school holidays and have found some time in your day to enjoy some sun, fresh air, exercise and relaxation!
Online learning at home continues for the first two weeks of Term 2 just as we were doing during March/April. Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 April are Pupil Free days and staff development. Students return to learning Wednesday 29 April and school remains open for the families who need it. Students will receive information to their DoE accounts to help them navigate the return to learning in a very simple and effective way before the therm starts.
The school will provide information about the staggered return to school from Week 3 (Monday 11th May) ASAP.
Until then - enjoy this holiday sunshine!

Assessment tasks for Students in Year 7 to 10
I’ve heard there is some confusion for some of our students about assessment tasks.
Due to recent events, we cannot ensure that all of our students have had an opportunity to access learning to complete their assessment tasks. Hence, we have stopped any assessment tasks for Years 7,8, 9 and 10 between Monday 16 March and Friday 9 April.

Dear Parents, Carers and Students
Many of our teachers are making time to call home and speak to their students and their families - to touch base, support in learning and a general check in.
Their numbers may be on private because they are not necessarily calling from the school - if you can be aware of that at this time...we would love to chat to you!
