Congratulations and a big thank you to everyone involved in ABW.
It was the inaugural year for Australian Business Week (ABW) at Vincentia High and it was wonderful to see our year 10 cohort embrace the week with growing enthusiasm and engagement. We had 13 teams compete in a variety of tasks related to running their own Café. Congratulations to Grind the Bean on winning the grand prize.
ABW was a huge success and would not have been possible without the support from the amazingly wonderful team of Vincentia High staff mentors and members from our community. We would like to give a big thank you to our guest speakers Di Laver and Virginia Mitchell who brought their wealth of knowledge from years working at Bomaderry TAFE in Tourism & Hospitality and team mentors Belinda Bunter from Babylon Huskisson and Sophie Clayton from Grevilles corner store. Also the judging panel Ory Purhoneon from Webics, Raj Ray from Silos Restaurant, Marianne Jones from Shoalhaven City Council and Geoffrey Ellison from Bendigo bank.
Special thanks to the students supporting Ms Congues on the IT help desk Ayden Rolfe, Bianca Ingles, Aiden Chambers and Stewart Birkmyre and to Ms Cody and the students from the Confusion Café for the delicious morning tea and lunches.
