Kade King receives a NSW Department of Education Nanga Mai Award

Kade

The NSW Department of Education’s 16th Annual Nanga Mai Awards celebrate excellence in Aboriginal education in NSW Public Schools. Nominations have been reviewed by a state selection panel and Year 12 Student Kade King has been chosen to receive an award for NSW DoE School-Based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year. The NSW DoE congratulated Kade on being selected to receive this prestigious award and acknowledged the school’s outstanding contribution to Aboriginal educational excellence in NSW Public Schools.

Nanga Mai award winners will be recognised in a unique virtual awards ceremony highlighting all the outstanding achievements in Aboriginal Education this year. The awards ceremony will be pre-recorded and launched in early December 2021. We will also arrange a celebration at school.

We would like to congratulate Kade on his success through his School based apprenticeship and traineeship (SBAT). Thank you to Kade’s family and all staff who supported Kade in so many ways to ensure he could pursue his passion.
